Well the 2007-2008 snowmobile season has come to an end here in Old Forge! All in all I would have to say that it was a great season this year.
Old Forge has a lot to offer all four seasons of the year. So don’t forget to stop back later on to see what we have going on. As I will be posting video of other fun events and activities during the course of the year.

So what do you think? Was last night the last we will see below zero temps this year? We dropped down to 4 below last night and it is in the 20’s now at noon. Don’t believe the temp on the cam right now as the sun is running it up. Everyone is saying the same as the town report good conditions and a blast to ride in the spring conditions. Hope you are having a good weekend!
What is there to say besides if you aren’t here you are missing out on some of the best trail riding you are going to find. The roads aren’t anything to talk about but the trails do make up for it. So if you are local enough to make a day trip up do it……you won’t be sorry you came up! The report from the town is the same up to a 12 inch base and good conditions. The forecast looks great for the weekend and then the warm up is going to start.
The temp is holding around 30 this morning and by the way it looks it will be dropping during the day. We picked up 4 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow over night. The report from the town is up to a 12 inch base with good conditions. Forecast is looking good for the weekend and then it is going to go down hill fast next week by the way it looks. Everyone I have talked with are happy with the riding conditions and glad they came up for that one last ride.
We are in the 30’s today and we dropped down to 16 last night. The report from the town is still the same with up to a 12 inch base and good conditions. We have some people in and they said that they have never seen the trails as smooth as they are now. Spring time you will find the best trail conditions and the worst road conditions as they are gone thanks to the sun. So if you want to get that last ride in this is going to be it as the warm up starts next week. Old Man Winter is going on vaca as the sledding season will be over here in Old Forge till next year.

Jamie from Don’s Polaris and I went out riding yesterday and we put on 130 miles in no time at all. The report from the town is up to a 12 inch base and good conditions and in my book good is under rating the conditions. If you are coming to road ride stay home as the roads are done for with the sun getting so high in the sky but the trails make up for them. I will be posting another video later today that you have to stop back to see. That’s all I’m going to say for now.
We are in the teens this morning and we dropped down to 5 below last night. The report from the town is up to a 12 inch base and good conditions. I’m hearing the same thing from everyone I talk to that the trails are in good shape with a few bad spots here and there. Forecast is looking good after today with even some new snow on the way.
First I would like to thank everyone for the e mails and looking for a report while I was away. It truely tells me you enjoy them. With that said here is the report for the day. The temp dropped down to 2 last night and we are in the 20’s this morning with light snow in the air. The report from the town is up to a 12 inch base and good conditions. I went south this moring and I would say they are right on the money with the lake effect we got last week. When you get outside of the area that got the lake effect it isn’t as good as it is here in Old Forge. Talked with a local this morning that was out riding on Saturday and he said the trails are smoooooth! But as always when you get this late in the season there are some spots that aren’t all that pretty.
Temp stayed in the 20’s over night and it looks like we might get some R later this afternoon. But it doesn’t look like anything to worry about as it is going to cool right back down and turn back to snow later tonight. Report from the town is the same good conditions and up to a foot of base. SnoFest this weekend at North Street with demo rides and 2009 models on display.
